Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day, involving Bryan Danielson & more.

• During an interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Bryan Danielson was asked about being a part of the disciplinary committee in AEW. Bryan said he doesn’t get paid for this gig:

“Listen, nobody wants to be a part of the disciplinary committee. One, I don’t get paid for it. It’s not even like, ‘Yeah, at least you’re making all these extra bucks.’ It’s a completely no-fun job.

I’m kind of honored they wanted me to do it. It shows that, okay, Bryan is level headed. He’s going to come from this from a wrestler’s perspective.

I help Tony (Khan) with creative, but it’s mostly Tony’s ideas for AEW. He’s got a brilliant mind for wrestling. I’m focusing right now on All In and making that the best it can be, but after that, I want to be able to spend some time at home with my family and be more involved with my community.”

For those who don’t know, Bryan (and other members of the disciplinary committee) came up to the infamous conclusion that CM Punk should not be a part of All Elite Wrestling.

• Recent reports revealed that Britt Baker was suspended following an incident involving MJF and Alicia Atout. Allegedly, Baker made negative remarks about MJF that reached him through Atout, leading to confrontations between the three.

Despite these reports, MJF has downplayed the incident, stating that it was exaggerated and that “almost everything that was written didn’t happen”. He also emphasized that locker room morale is higher than outsiders perceive.

However, the Wrestling Observer offered a cautious perspective. He noted that while most in the locker room get along and like Tony Khan, there is growing concern about declining attendance and popularity:

“The locker room in some instances is better. I think the difference is most get along, and most like Tony Khan, but there is a concern about attendance and popularity that wasn’t there in the past.

The locker room generally gets along. The MJF/Britt Baker/Alicia Atout thing happened, the story here was accurate and suspension happened but it was blown out of proportion to a degree.”
