WWE Backstage Interviewer Byron Saxton shared the following heartbreaking update on Instagram:

“I’d like to take a moment to tell you about a wonderful lady named Judy Powell Michels.

I first met Judy during the early days of my wrestling career in Central Florida where she religiously attended our Southern Championship Wrestling events.

Since then, Judy would become not just a friend but one of my biggest supporters throughout the years.

Judy was a warm human being with a wonderful sense of humor. Despite her severe health struggles over the past year, her optimism and smile never took a backseat.

Rest well Judy, you are now in God’s hands. Thank you for being you.”

Below are the photos that he shared:

Byron Saxton signed a developmental contract with WWE back in 2007. His last match took place in FCW in 2012.

After that, he transitioned into a full-time commentator. He later also became a Ring Announcer and Backstage Interviewer.

On an episode of RAW in 2021, Saxton pinned Corey Graves to win the 24/7 Championship, which is the only title Saxton has held in WWE.
