• Cain Velasquez Involved In A Shooting

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion & former WWE wrestler Cain Velasquez was involving in a shooting incident today.

According to the Police, one man suffered injuries (non-life threatening) and one man was arrested during this incident. No word yet on which one of them is Cain.

The San José Police Media Relations shared the following updates on Twitter:

“Units are currently at the scene of a shooting near the intersection of Monterey Hwy and Bailey Ave.

One adult male shot at least once transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One suspect in custody. Unknown motive or circumstances.

2/ Additional updates will be shared here when available.

Please avoid the area as we conduct our investigation. Traffic will be impacted in both directions on Monterey Hwy for several hours.

3/ Units have cleared the intersection of Monterey Hwy and Bailey Ave. Traffic has been reopened.”

Cain only wrestled two matches in WWE.

On October 31, 2019, in his WWE debut match, he faced Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia and lost.

On November 30, 2019, he teamed up with Humberto Carrillo to defeat Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in a Tag Team match at a WWE Live Event in Mexico.

He was scheduled to compete in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2020 match, but he couldn’t due to an eye injury. He was then released a few months later due to COVID-19 related budget cuts.
