Carlito returned to WWE at the Backlash 2023 premium live event.
During the Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest – San Juan Street Fight, Judgment Day members Finn Balor & Dominik Mysterio interfered.
This led to Carlito, Savio Vega, Rey Mysterio & The LWO coming out to make the save for Bunny.

When Carlito returned in 2021 for the Men’s Royal Rumble match and wrestled the next night on RAW, WWE offered him a deal to be a Coach in the company and wrestle occasionally. However, he didn’t take the deal.
According to insider source BWE, Carlito might accept WWE’s offer this time:
“He just might accept it this time.
Carlito has been offered a contract a lot of times, that’ll give him some TV time and stories + coaching. He kept declining all the time. But I guess it’s time he knows what’s right for him. He can be useful.”
In an update, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Carlito recently canceled his booking for an indy show and told the promoter that he has signed with WWE:
“[Carlito] had an independent show on July 15 for Devon Nicholson in Canada, and he called him up to cancel and said that he has signed with WWE. That’s what Devon Nicholson said today.”
Carlito was recently spotted at the WWE Performance Center, so the above report does add up.
