In a new episode of her “Hot Mom Sh!t” podcast, former WWE Superstar Carmella opened up about the plastic surgery she had on her face.
Carmella explained that she has felt very insecure about her under-eye bags and dark circles for her entire life. “I came out of the womb with dark circles, with hollowness,” she said. “I’ve been so tired since the day I was born, or at least looked like it.”
When she was 16 years old, Carmella attended John Casablancas modeling and acting classes in Boston. One day in acting class, the coach looked at her in front of everyone and said: “Holy eye bags, Batman!” The coach even asked if she had slept the night before. Carmella was deeply embarrassed and almost cried. That hurtful comment stayed with her for over 20 years.
At 38 years old and after having her second baby, Carmella decided it was time to fix something that had bothered her for so long. She went to top plastic surgeon Dr. Ira Sevetsky in New York City. The procedures she had on April 30th were:
– Lower blepharoplasty (lower bleph): Removal of the fat pads under her eyes.
– Upper blepharoplasty (upper bleph): A small amount of work on her upper eyelids to prevent future sagging.
– Skin pinch: Removal of extra loose skin under the eyes.
– Fat transfer: Fat was taken from her inner thigh and injected under her eyes and temples to reduce hollowness and create a smoother look.
– CO2 laser: Treatment to improve fine lines and discoloration under the eyes.
Carmella made it very clear she is not promoting plastic surgery. She said people should do whatever makes them feel confident and happy.
The former SmackDown Women’s Champion said the surgery itself was smooth. She felt almost no pain afterward and didn’t even need pain medication. Her husband, WWE commentator Corey Graves, was very supportive, drove her to New York, and took care of her like a full-time nurse during recovery.
Three weeks after surgery, Carmella said she feels much more confident. She no longer worries about her eye bags when she has important events, TV appearances, or red carpets. Below is her updated look:

Carmella encouraged mothers not to put themselves last. She said the time will pass anyway, so if there’s something you want to do for yourself, you should do it.
