Cash Wheeler Was Arrested Due To A Road Rage Incident (Details)

As noted before, AEW World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler of FTR was arrested after turning himself in last night after being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm in Florida.

His arraignment took place this morning in which the prosecution noted that the incident was “believed to be a road rage incident”. Wheeler allegedly “flashed a gun” at the other party during the incident and he does not know them personally.

Wheeler was ordered to turn in any weapons that were in his possession to the Orange County Sherriff’s Office within 12 hours of his release pending the resolution of the criminal case against him. He was also ordered to not get in any sort of contact with the victims or witnesses of the incident.

As noted earlier, the offense date is listed as July 27th. A warrant for his arrest was filed on July 28th. He was charged with a bond of $2,500.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge of aggravated assault with a firearm via his attorney with the circuit court of Orange County, Florida on August 3rd.

Cash Wheeler AEW Arrest Details August 2023

AEW issued the following statement on his arrest:

“AEW has been made aware of the charge, and we are closely monitoring the situation. He is fully cooperating with local authorities.”

Wheeler is scheduled to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Dax Harwood against The Young Bucks at All In at the Wembley Stadium in the UK in a week from Sunday.
