Champion Got Injured On Friday’s WWE SmackDown

Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day.

• In the main event of Friday’s SmackDown, Bayley defeated Dakota Kai via DQ after WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY attacked Bayley.

Damage CTRL ganged up on Bayley, which led to Naomi running out to make the save. Damage CTRL took her out as well. The fans were chanting “EST”, hoping for Bianca Belair to come out, but she didn’t. SmackDown ended with Damage CTRL standing tall over a fallen Bayley.

According to PWInsider, WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Asuka suffered a knee injury during this segment:

“Asuka was pulled from the weekend live events out of caution and so that medical tests could be done to confirm whether it was something Asuka could work through or whether she had a larger injury.”

• It looks like WWE won’t be inducting Bray Wyatt into the Hall of Fame this year, but they still have plans to honor his legacy during WrestleMania 40 week.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H has revealed that a documentary on Wyatt will be released on Peacock on April 1st.

Here’s what HHH wrote:
