• Champion Is Working Without A Contract In AEW
Brian Cage is currently the ROH World 6-Man Tag Team Champion, but he isn’t under a contract with AEW.
Cage agreed to work extra dates, despite not being under contract, until ROH Supercard of Honor 2023.
Brian Cage, Kaun & Toa Liona, together known as The Embassy, defended the 6-Man Tag Team Titles against AR Fox, Blake Christian & Metalik at Supercard of Honor.
This is where many fans thought new champions will be crowned, as they believed Cage was on his way out, but that didn’t happen. The Embassy retained the Titles.
Cage’s win began speculation that he has re-signed with AEW or at least signed a short-term extension.
However, that’s not the case.
According to Fightful Select, Tony Khan is trying to get Cage to sign a long-term deal. Both sides are still negotiating, with the conversations between them said to be productive.
