• Hulk Hogan faced significant backlash during WWE RAW’s Netflix debut on January 6, as the Los Angeles crowd greeted him with loud boos and even chants of “F**k Hulk Hogan”.

The negative reception has reportedly led WWE to reconsider Hogan’s role in their programming.

WrestleVotes that WWE is shifting Hogan’s future appearances away from live events. Instead, the company plans to focus on using him in pre-recorded content, such as documentaries and commercials. “They will do a lot of documentary interviews with him going forward, they may have him on commercials… but as far as live appearances, you may not see him as often,” WrestleVotes shared.

The crowd’s hostility extended beyond the live promo, with even a pre-recorded commercial featuring Hogan promoting Saturday Night’s Main Event drawing heavy boos.

Hogan reportedly attributed the backlash to political differences, believing that Los Angeles’ liberal leanings contributed to the crowd’s negative response. “He thought it was going to be 50/50,” noted Chris Featherstone, pointing out the disparity between Hogan’s expectations and the reality of the fan reaction.
