• Change In Plans For Cody Rhodes’ Return

Cody Rhodes tore his pec before his Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins in 2022.

He has been out of action for 7 months and he’s getting ready for a return now.

Many fans thought that Rhodes was going to return from his injury as a surprise entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble 2023 match (and even go on to win it), but it looks like that’s not going to be the case.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Rhodes’ return will be pre-announced:

“So I had always figured that Cody Rhodes’ return would be a surprise at the Royal Rumble, but it is absolutely not going to be.

They’re going to do a multipart series, building up his return. So there you go.

He’s evidently slotted in a high place at WrestleMania.”

WWE aired an interview with Cody on last week’s RAW, where he said he has no desire to face Seth Rollins again and that he wants to go after the World Title now.

On this week’s RAW, a vignette for Cody aired.
