Dominik Mysterio was originally scheduled to defend the NXT North American Championship against Mustafa Ali at this Sunday’s NXT: The Great American Bash 2023 premium live event.
However, it will now be a Triple Threat Match.
Wes Lee interrupted Dominik and Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in the opening segment of tonight’s NXT (tap here for complete results). Wes said he wants his Title rematch against Dirty Dom tonight.
Mustafa Ali interrupted and said he’s the one that should’ve beaten Wes at Great American Bash for the Title, but that clown dropped the ball. After realizing that he called Wes a clown, Ali apologized and said he’s angry that Dom is the champion.
Ali told Wes not to take a match against Dom, but he was too stupid to listen. Dominik said this sounds like an Ali-Lee problem, so he pushed Ali out of the way to leave the ring.
Mustafa went to attack Dom, but Dom moved out of the way and Ali accidentally hit Wes. This led to a brawl between Ali & Wes. They suddenly stopped fighting when they saw Dom & Rhea were smiling at the fact that they were fighting.
WWE then announced a 3-Way match between them for the Title at Great American Bash.
Later in the show, Dominik asked Rhea if it’s a good idea for him to face Wes and Mustafa in a Triple Threat Match at Great American Bash. Rhea said it is. Dom then said Mami is always right.
