• Chris Jericho Comments On CM Punk
According to multiple sources, after the backstage fight at All Out 2022, Chris Jericho confronted CM Punk and called him a cancer to the AEW locker room and a detriment to the company.
Punk then told Jericho that this was none of his business and he should leave.
Sources close to Punk confirmed that this interaction between the WrestleMania 28 opponents did happen.
Jericho went on to like the following tweet by a fan about Punk:
“Imagine that you’re CM Punk. You’ve had one of the most triumphant comebacks ever in the history of wrestling. You’ve been promoted as the star you never got to be in WWE. And within a year, you completely ostracize yourself, becoming so toxic that you’re not worth having around.”
Jericho did like wrestling with Punk though.
A fan tweeted the following:
“Watching the @IAmJericho vs. @CMPunk match at WrestleMania 28 on Peacock now. Straight BANGER. Ocho and Punk, if by some miracle we see you guys back in WWE anytime soon, would love to see y’all run this back.”
Jericho replied:
“I always loved working with @CMPunk….”
