• Chris Jericho Explains How AEW Dynamite Was The Real Winner In This Week’s Wednesday Night War Despite Losing To NXT In Viewership
Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho has frequently started acknowledging the Wednesday Night Wars between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT since NXT defeated Dynamite last week in regards to overall viewers.
After getting into an exchange with Sasha Banks over the ratings last week, Le Champion took to Twitter soon after this week’s ratings came out (after NXT beat Dynamite in viewership again) to explain how Fyter Fest (Night 1) defeated The Great American Bash (Night 1).
“Here’s a lesson about television ratings kids. Last night @AEWrestling was NUMBER 6 in the 18-49 demo. To tv networks & advertisers it’s the ONLY number that matters and we were up 31% in that area! So once again #AEWDynamite is the REAL winner in the Wed night ratings war!”

NXT’s Great American Bash drew 792,000 viewers this week, while AEW Fyter Fest drew 748,000 viewers.
It should be noted that last week’s main event segment on Dynamite featured Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy, which turned out to be lowest quarter in the show’s history, with 552,000 viewers.
