• Chris Jericho Gives An Update On His Future After AEW Contract Expires This Month
Chris Jericho’s AEW contract is set to expire at the end of the month. He has not appeared in the company since April and speculation about a WWE return continues to grow every day.
The first-ever AEW World Champion is eyeing a WWE return for a retirement tour and a Hall of Fame induction. WWE has even offered him a retirement storyline, according to the latest reports.
Speaking to WBSM 1420, Chris Jericho stated that his pro wrestling career isn’t over yet and fans will definitely see him inside the squared circle somewhere next year.
“You never know. I’m not done yet. Still figuring out everything and we’ll see where I end up. I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”
Chris Jericho last appeared in WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia in 2018. The company is heading to the kingdom once again for Royal Rumble 2026, a month after Jericho’s AEW deal runs out.
• Lana Reveals Huge Amount Rusev Had To Pay For His Family To Attend WrestleMania Due To TKO’s New Policy
WWE’s shift under TKO has brought multiple behind-the-scenes policy changes, and according to CJ Perry (fka Lana), even the talent are feeling the impact, specifically when it comes to ticket costs.
WWE ticket prices have skyrocketed in recent months, and it turns out fans aren’t the only ones dealing with the jump. Wrestlers and their families are now being required to pay out of pocket to attend events.
During an appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, Lana, who is under a WWE Legends contract, revealed just how strict the new system has become and said that the changes came directly from TKO, not WWE’s traditional leadership.
“I think that’s all TKO. When TKO came on, a lot of these changes, like, you have to buy tickets. Everyone has to buy tickets. Liv (Morgan) had to get all the tickets for her whole family and everything. My husband (Rusev) had to buy to bring his whole family in at WrestleMania. It was $5,000. Had to buy for the suite. And it’s all TKO. This isn’t Hunter, this isn’t Bruce.
I don’t have a problem paying for tickets because I believe in these people. I believe in Liv Morgan. Of course I’m gonna buy a ticket for her return. I love her. I love wrestling in general. Of course we’re gonna go see Miro. He’s had to buy tickets numerous amounts of time. Every time I’ve gone to see Rusev, he’s bought the ticket.”
