• Old School WWF/WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WWF/WCW Veteran “Meat” Shawn Stasiak (Real name: Shawn Stipich) celebrates his 49th birthday today.
Second generation superstar Shawn Stasiak is the son of former WWWF World Heavyweight Champion Stan “The Man” Stasiak.
During his 1999 WWF stint, he was the boy-toy of the PMS Pretty Mean Sisters consisting of Terri Runnels, Jacqueline & Ryan Shamrock, but Shawn’s biggest claim to fame was losing to Kurt Angle in Kurt’s WWF debut match at the Survivor Series 1999 PPV.

• Chris Jericho Says AEW Doesn’t Need CM Punk, Says We Don’t Want AEW To Be WCW From 1998
During a recent interview with Collider, AEW Superstar Chris Jericho talked about All Elite Wrestling focusing on creating new stars, CM Punk & more.
Below are the highlights:
On AEW building new stars:
“We’ve got a lot of guys to build. Because if you’re going to a nationwide audience, they know Chris Jericho, they know Jim Ross, they know Jon Moxley, Dustin Rhodes, they might remember Cody probably. Other than that, there’s really a new collection of guys.
Now, of course for the hardcores, [they know] The Bucks, and Kenny Omega, and Pentagon and Fenix — but now we have to introduce them to a nationwide audience and get them over one by one. You can’t put 40 new guys on TV and go, ‘Here guys, get over!’ We have to have to take our time properly to build them one by one.”
On not wanting to hire WWE wrestlers:
“Our roster is jam-packed right now. So we’re not looking to headhunt in WWE and we never were. That’s one of the things that’s funny about the guys getting the double salaries and all that stuff.
We didn’t wanna be WCW in 1998 or TNA Impact in 2011 where you’re just bringing in a lot of old WWE guys. We don’t want that. We’ve got enough guys that no one’s ever seen before.”
On if AEW needs CM Punk:
“If they ask me I will tell him, but I haven’t been asked about CM Punk. Do we need him? No. Would it be a huge pop to get him? Yes.”
