• Chris Jericho Says Some WWE Wrestlers Aren’t Worth $50, But Are Getting Paid $500,000 Because Of AEW

During a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho talked about how AEW’s arrival has been good for the wrestlers financially.

WWE has been signing wrestlers to lucrative deals (even the ones who aren’t top guys) just to ensure they don’t go to AEW.

Below is what Jericho said about this:

“There are quite a few examples of that. There are guys making $500,000 there that, if they were working the indies, they wouldn’t make $50. I’m not even kidding.

I don’t have to mention any names, just go through the [WWE] roster and ask, ‘If this guy was on his own, who would pay to see him?’ But that’s fine.

AEW’s existence is better for the fans and it’s better for the talent, and that’s great.”
