• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (April 18, 2018) – OLD SCHOOL WRESTLING VETERAN PASSED AWAY
On this day in 2018, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran “Number One” Paul Jones (Real name: Paul Frederik) at the age of 75.
Jones wrestled for several NWA territories during the 60s, 70s & early 80s, but most of you Old Schoolers out there will probably remember him as the manager of his very own stable, “Paul Jones’ Army”.
Among the members of “Paul Jones’ Army” were big names like Ivan Koloff, Abdullah The Butcher, Superstar Billy Graham, Rick Rude, The Warlord, Baron Von Raschke, The Barbarian, …
For most of the 80s, Paul Jones & his army feuded with popular babyface ‘The Boogie Woogie Man’ Jimmy Valiant.
The feud ended when Turner bought ‘Jim Crockett Promotions’ and both Jones & Valiant left the promotion.
† REST IN PEACE PAUL JONES

• Christian Comments On If He Could Get Cleared To Return To In-Ring Action Like Edge
During a recent edition of Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast, former World Heavyweight Champion Christian was asked if he could get cleared to return to in-ring action like his best friend, WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
Below is what Christian said:
“It’s one of those things, it’s a completely different injury [than Edge’s].
I’m pretty content with all that I’ve accomplished in WWE. I’ve pretty much accomplished everything I ever wanted to do except main event WrestleMania, and let’s be honest, how many people actually get a chance to do that.
I’m 46 years old and I had some concussion issues, it’s just a matter of, I don’t see it happening, I’m medically disqualified, I just don’t, not sure how I’d ever get cleared.”
