If he undergoes surgery in the coming week, recovery and physical therapy could take around 4-6 months, ruling him out of WrestleMania 40 and delaying his return to the ring until the summer.
The injury occurred during a DDT from Drew McIntyre, and it’s noted that this is a new injury, not a recurrence of a previous one. He tore the triceps in his left arm during this match, while he tore the triceps in his right arm in AEW.
Punk was eliminated from the match by Cody Rhodes.
