Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving CM Punk and Elimination Chamber.

• CM Punk was reportedly a lively presence backstage at NXT Deadline, spending the entire day at the venue and being well-received by everyone.

Surprisingly, his interactions with Triple H were described as genuinely good, despite years of tension between them.

According to Haus of Wrestling, sources close to Punk are expressing excitement, noting that he seems to be in a remarkably happy state.

The Wrestling Observer later added that Punk wasn’t disappointed when he was fired from AEW and was actually looking forward to it:

“I know that when he was fired, I know he was not that upset when he was fired. I was told he was looking to be fired, he was not that upset to be fired.”

• WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 will take place at Optus Stadium in Perth, Western Australia, Australia on February 24th. This stadium has a capacity of 60,000 to 65,000 for a wrestling show.

Dave Meltzer reported the following about the ticket sales for this PLE:

“WWE Elimination Chamber in Perth is at 7,805 tickets sold. It’s a stadium show, which is why they’re already discounting.”

However, WrestleTix has denied this and Sean Ross Sapp has added that more than 30,000 tickets have actually already been sold, according to internal WWE reports.

Raj Giri later reported that this PLE is currently tracking to be one of the largest non-WrestleMania gates in company history.

The West Australian reported that WWE has already sold about 45,000 tickets for Elimination Chamber.
