• CM Punk Reveals Why Triple H Threw Away His WWE Return Promo Script
Wrestling is full of tough moments, but even the most seasoned pros can get butterflies under the right circumstances. CM Punk opened up about a surprisingly vulnerable moment from his high-profile WWE return in 2023 – and the helping hand he received from none other than Triple H. Speaking with SPORTbible, Punk shared that backstage before his return promo in 2023, he was more nervous than most fans would ever expect. Updating fans on the emotional moment, Punk admitted he actually brought a sheet of paper with his planned promo written out word-for-word, worried about nailing his lines after so long away from the WWE spotlight.
That’s when Triple H stepped in. Sensing Punk’s nerves, Triple H took the sheet of paper from him, crumpled it up, and tossed it aside, reportedly telling Punk to just go be you. According to Punk, that simple act took the pressure off – a reminder that the best promos come from the heart, not from a script. Here’s what Punk said:
“I was running around with a piece of paper in my hand that had whatever I was supposed to say. I keep looking at it. Triple H gets up and comes up to me and goes, ‘What are you doing, man? You’re freaking everybody out.’ ‘What do you mean I’m freaking everybody out?’ ‘Nobody here has ever seen you hold a script in your hand and read it like you’re not just going to go out there and say whatever the hell you want.’
I’m like, ‘Oh, well, you know, I’m new around here. I don’t want to step on anybody’s toes.’ He grabbed the piece of paper, crumpled it up, and threw it out. ‘You’re CM Punk. Just go out there and talk to the people.’ ‘Right. Right.’ That’s what I needed to hear because I’m trying to move in a certain way, and he’s like, ‘No, go be you. That’s why you’re here.”

• Jey Uso Gives His Answer To Roman Reigns
After Roman Reigns and Jey Uso took out Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed on this week’s RAW, The OTC took to Instagram to issue a SummerSlam challenge:
“On the jet last night, and I’m just running it back in my head. Keep hearing those squeaky little words that came out of Bron Breakker’s mouth, running his mouth, talking about a whole bunch of stuff that he just don’t understand. You know, I told myself, man, we can keep doing this. We just keep going out. We can brawl every single week, but these boys think they’re the future, and the only way to really become the future and become who you think you are is by capturing the moment. And you can’t do that only on Monday… you gotta do it at the big PLEs. You gotta do it at the SummerSlams, at the Royal Rumbles, at the Manias. That’s how I’ve made my career. That’s how I’ve made my living.
And seeing that none of us are in title matches, we don’t really have much going on. So I’m going to go ahead and extend the offer. If ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso, the YEET Man himself, would trust me one last time… I loved it last night. I love standing shoulder to shoulder taking on anybody. I love doing that with my family. If you’ll trust me and accept this challenge with me, I say we take on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed at SummerSlam with the dumba$$ in their corner… You ain’t got much time. I’m gonna need some answers.”
In his response video, Jey Uso accepted the opportunity to team up with his Tribal Chief at SummerSlam 2025: “@romanreigns say less uce. #SummerSlam”
