Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving CM Punk and Roman Reigns.

• On a recent episode of SmackDown, CM Punk said he is back to finish his story in WWE, which is to main event WrestleMania, which he couldn’t do in his first run from 2006 to 2014.

During an Instagram Live session for Elite Comics and Kulture City, Punk said he is mainly back for his fans:

“This isn’t about me, this is about us. This is about everybody that is behind me. That for 10 years didn’t forget, chanted my name. I’m going to put the boots back on for all of ya’ll. We’re going to go on this journey together.”

At the end of this month, Punk will have his first match in WWE in almost 10 years, when he faces Dominik Mysterio at a Live Event.

Punk promoted this match while doing MMA commentary at a CFFC event, where he said the following:

“I’ve been wanting to punch this kid in the face since he was 8 years old. Now he’s legal and I’m gonna destroy him.”

• On Friday’s SmackDown, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns declared Solo Sikoa as the Tribal Heir.

Reigns said if something happens to him, then Solo will become the next Tribal Chief.

We are being told that this was a significant storyline moment, which will come into play after WrestleMania 40.

The plan right now is for Roman to lose the Undisputed Championship to Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40 – Night 2 and then go on a long hiatus.

During Roman’s hiatus, Sikoa will take over The Bloodline as the new Tribal Chief in Reigns’ absence.

This is the reason why Solo was given a clean, dominant victory over John Cena at Crown Jewel, as WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has big plans for the current Enforcer of The Bloodline.
