Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena kicked off tonight’s RAW after Money In The Bank. Cena said the “Truth” is a lie. He called R-Truth a sideshow comedian whose greatest achievement is pretending to be me. Cena asked the fans if chanting for Truth accomplished something. Cena called the fans a bunch of keyboard warriors who don’t have any real power to bring change.
Cena says R-Truth is a gimmick which fans won’t care about in a year from now. Cena told fans to use their voice to send him real competition because he has limited time left in the WWE. He has 19 dates left on his farewell tour after tonight.
CM Punk’s music hits. Punk said he has a lot to get off his chest right now and Cena will have to hear everything. Punk said he’s not here to kiss his Final Boss’ a$$. Punk said the people chose him in 2011 as the Voice of the Voiceless and he’s here to defend the people. Punk said if fans want the truth, then they’re gonna get Ron Killings.
Punk said it’s time for him to take the WWE Championship off Cena. Punk said he heard Cena say “I’m sorry” to him after taking advantage at Elimination Chamber. Punk said Cena knows what he’s doing is wrong. Punk said the WWE Title corrupted Cena, similar to how it corrupted him in 2012.
When Punk came back in 2023, his goal wasn’t to be WWE Champion because he was afraid of what the title will do to him again, but he believes the title belongs to the people and that’s why he’s coming for it. Punk challenged Cena to a title match tonight on RAW.
Cena teased “one final match” with Punk – The Greatest of All Time vs. The Best in the World for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena is on board, but will only do it in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions on June 28. Before Punk could answer, Mr. Money In The Bank Seth Rollins came out with Bron Breakker and “Big” Bronson Reed.
This ended the segment. Rollins only came out to show that he’s going to be a part of the World Title picture from now on, since he can cash-in his MITB contract at any time.
Back in 2020, Punk said the following to The Miz on Twitter:
“Go suck a blood money covered d*ck in Saudi Arabia you f**king dork.”
It looks like Punk will have to drop his moral if he wants one last match with Cena.
UPDATE: Later in the night, WWE officially announced John Cena vs. CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia on June 28.
