Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving CM Punk and Charlotte.
• CM Punk didn’t appear on this week’s RAW and he’s going to remain off TV for a few weeks.
Punk has revealed that his next TV appearance will be on the January 8th episode of RAW in Portland. After that, he will appear on the January 22nd RAW in New Orleans, before entering the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match on January 27th.
He will be working the December 26th Live Event in New York (Madison Square Garden) and the December 30th Live Event in Inglewood, where he’ll face Dominik Mysterio.
• Michael Cole announced on commentary that Charlotte Flair will be out of action for 9 months due to the knee injury she suffered during her match against Asuka.
This means she will miss WrestleMania 40, which is less than 4 months away.
Charlotte suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus & a torn MCL.
According to PWInsider, Charlotte will undergo surgery in January, which means her return date would be sometime in October 2024:
“Charlotte Flair is scheduled for knee surgery in early January. If the 9 month estimate that was publicly stated by WWE is true, that would put her at an October 2024 return.”
Despite the injury, Charlotte attended last night’s CMLL show in Arena Mexico to support her husband, AEW wrestler Andrade El Idolo, who competed at the event.
Charlotte was seen using crutches. You can watch it below:
