• Cody Rhodes Comments On His Reunion With John Cena
16-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion & Hollywood Star John Cena returned on last night’s RAW and got emotional.
As soon as Cena entered the ring, United States Champion Austin Theory came out. Theory said he has a gift for Cena – a match against him at WrestleMania 39 for the United States Championship.
Cena turned down the match offer. Cena said Theory hasn’t earned the right to give that gift and that no one cares about Theory.
John called Austin a generic Cena wannabe and there’s even a fan sign of it in the crowd. Cena said the fans don’t believe in Theory.
Cena then said something positive – Austin Theory has the best name in WWE – because that’s exactly what he is: a theory. In theory, you should be great, you look great, you move fast, everyone should be here to see you, but no one cares.
John told Austin to shut up, turn around and walk away in one piece. Theory then said:
“I’m not going anywhere just like that bald spot on your head ain’t going anywhere.”
Theory then asked if John Cena is giving up? And where’s the respect for the WrestleMania opportunity?
Cena said he’d rather be bald than have WWE pipe in fake noise during his matches because no one cares. Cena said Theory is a dumb son of a b*tch.
John said if he wins at WrestleMania and Theory loses, Theory loses everything. Cena said he has no choice at this point because Theory brought the fans into it.
Cena asked the fans in Boston if they want to see this match at WrestleMania 39. The crowd cheered and chanted ‘yes’. Cena said he doesn’t care about Theory, but he’ll never give up on the fans.
It was then made official – John Cena vs. Austin Theory for the United States Championship at WrestleMania 39.
Cena said Theory isn’t ready for the WrestleMania stage, but then introduced a man who is – Cody Rhodes.
Cody & John hugged and Cena raised the arm of The American Nightmare.
Rhodes tweeted the following after his reunion with Cena:
” “Reward their noise, every time…”
Thank you @JohnCena”
