• Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was stretchered out of Saturday Night’s Main Event after sustaining a package piledriver from Kevin Owens. WWE reported that Rhodes suffered cervical spine compression and a cervical strain.

His return to WWE television remains uncertain. Meanwhile, Owens is proclaiming himself the ‘True WWE Champion’, carrying the Winged Eagle Championship.
On tonight’s SmackDown, Owens said what happened to Rhodes was not his fault, and that he was screwed out of winning the Undisputed WWE Championship by the Referee. Kevin said he took the Winged Eagle Title and won’t give it back until he gets what he wants.

• The Miz announced on Instagram that his grandmother has passed away. Here’s what he wrote as a tribute:
“Grandma Dixie, we love you and will miss you. Life is so precious. One day we are laughing and the next you are no longer with us. I’m thankful for the time my girls got to spend with you.
I’m thankful for the smiles you brought me ever since I was a kid. I can still hear you yelling ‘lil na tang’ (little nice thing! It’s what she called me since I can remember). Love you Granny. Rest in peace.”
