The Brock Lesnar – Cody Rhodes feud began on RAW after WrestleMania 39.
Lesnar & Rhodes were scheduled to team up to face The Bloodline (Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa), when Lesnar turned heel and brutally assaulted The American Nightmare.
They had their first match against each other at Backlash in Puerto Rico, where Cody managed to pin Brock in the main event. Brock bled heavily during this match after going head-first into a turnbuckle that was exposed.
They had the rematch at Night Of Champions in Saudi Arabia. In the lead up to this match, The Beast broke Cody’s arm on RAW and even made him lose in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
Brock then defeated Cody in the rematch, after an injured Cody passed out to the Kimura Lock.
They are 1-1 against each other and WWE is planning to end this rivalry at SummerSlam 2023, with a Bullrope Match.
But before SummerSlam, there’s another premium live event – Money In The Bank 2023 in London, England on July 1st.
According to insider source BWE, WWE is planning to do Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio at Money In The Bank.
The seeds for this feud were planted on last week’s RAW, when Dominik interrupted Cody on Miz TV and slapped him.
To get to this match, WWE has two options in mind:
1. A mixed tag team match, where Dominik & SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley will take on Cody and a female partner of his choosing. This partner could be Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes, as she teased going after Ripley after last week’s segment.
2. Cody having a temporary alliance with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins to take on Dominik & a Judgment Day member in a tag team match.
