– Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes kicked off the final SmackDown on FOX and reminded everyone of his victory against Kevin Owens at Bash In Berlin, prompting a “KO” chant from the crowd. Cody welcomes Michael Cole back to SmackDown, and a “welcome back” chant followed. Aware he’s about to be interrupted, Cody invited The Bloodline to come out, and Solo Sikoa’s music played. Sikoa asked if Cody is done running his mouth and playing around. The crowd started chanting “We Want Roman”. Sikoa challenged Cody to defend his title, claiming he could have been champion at SummerSlam if not for Roman Reigns, and demanded a rematch. Cody agreed that a title match should happen next week. He listed accolades, said Sikoa deserves a championship match, but then revealed he’s actually talking about Jacob Fatu. The crowd chanted “step up”, and after a tense moment, Fatu stepped down, saying he loves Solo and considers him his Tribal Chief. Rhodes, seeing the situation as diffused, said he knows WWE revolves around his championship and admitted that while Solo’s iron thumb might take him down one day, it won’t be next week. Sikoa agreed to the match, but The Bloodline started to attack Cody. The Street Profits and #DIY rushed to even the odds. Nick Aldis then stepped out, calming everyone down while the crowd chants “let them fight”. Aldis confirmed Cody vs. Sikoa for the WWE Title next week but announced it will happen in a Steel Cage to neutralize The Bloodline’s numbers advantage.

– Austin Theory and Grayson Waller confronted Kevin Owens backstage, noticing that Owens has an Edmonton Oilers-themed title belt. They mocked him, saying the only way he’ll ever win a title is by buying it from WWE Shop. They also tease him about his friendship with Cody Rhodes, pointing out that Owens didn’t come to Cody’s aid against The Bloodline. Owens brushed off their remarks, saying his relationship with Cody is fine, just like Theory and Waller’s friendship, right? He then suggested a triple threat match where they can team up against him if they think they’re such good friends. Owens refused to give them the Oilers belt and walked off.

– Apollo Crews def. Giovanni Vinci in a matter of seconds

This was Vinci’s return to WWE TV. You can watch it below:

– Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in a Triple Threat Match

There was some tension between Theory and Waller during the match. Owens pinned Theory. After the match, Theory & Waller laid out Owens.

– LA Knight hyped up his two successful United States Title defenses, mentioning that he’s gone from DC to Berlin to the big E, and everyone wants a shot at his title. This prompted Carmelo Hayes to come out and question Knight’s bragging over two defenses. Hayes argued that he’s been the one stealing the show on SmackDown and, with two wins over Andrade, believes he’s next in line for the title. Knight countered by saying two defenses matter because it’s more than what his predecessor (Logan Paul) did, and he focuses on winning, not match of the night, which is why he’s the champion. Andrade then appeared, reminding Hayes that he beat him twice as well. While Hayes dismissed it, Andrade insisted everyone remembers, and he claimed he deserves a shot at the title. Knight dismissed both, saying he doesn’t care who earns the right to lose to him. Andrade asserted he’ll be the next United States Champion, but Knight mocked him, saying he didn’t understand his Spanish. As tensions rise, Andrade pushes Hayes into Knight, who delivered a BFT to Andrade. Hayes taunted Andrade, but Knight returned to hit the BFT on Hayes as well.

– Austin Theory and Grayson Waller find Nick Aldis backstage. Waller suggested that for next week’s season premiere, Aldis should book them in a tag team match against Kevin Owens and anyone he can find, since Owens has no friends left.

– Chelsea Green def. “Michin” Mia Yim after Piper Niven attacked Michin behind the referee’s back

– The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and WWE Tag Team Champions Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) def. #DIY (Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa) and The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) in an 8-Man Tag Team Match

Fatu laid out Ford and then tagged in Sikoa to finish things. Sikoa hit Ford with 2 Samoan Spikes to pick up the win.
