WWE is currently doing some of its most profitable business, and a lot of their current babyface wrestlers have played a big part in it.

In the past couple of years, WWE has had problems in booking a solid babyface for a long run, but this doesn’t seem to be a problem for the promotion anymore, as they now have top babyfaces like Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Jey Uso.

LA Knight would definitely top that list, but he’s more of a tweener right now.

Speaking on the NotSam Wrestling podcast, Cody Rhodes said that babyfaces were very rarely found in WWE, but that’s not the case anymore.

He also named some of the top babyfaces in the company today.

“The babyface was an endangered species and now, just look at the landscape. There’s Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and there’s people popping up left and right in terms of — its not so endangered anymore.”

Cody also discussed the difference between the treatment he received from the AEW and WWE crowds.

In AEW, he was booed on a weekly basis, but in WWE, it’s a completely opposite scenario for him.

“The reason I think that the WWE audience took to it in a completely different way, as if they dismissed whatever was happening, and this was just my hope and belief I think it’s because they knew what you were seeing was real.

There was always that grey matter and that suspension of disbelief, but I think they knew, ‘Oh, his return is more than just an individual returning.'”
