• Cody Rhodes Takes A Shot At WWE Changing WALTER’s Name On Tonight’s AEW Dynamite

On tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, TNT Champion Cody Rhodes returned. He recently tested positive for COVID-19.

Cody Rhodes said CM Punk’s pipebomb in WWE was the first whiff of a revolution. He laid out a road map, things like going to New Japan Pro Wrestling & working for Ring Of Honor and while Punk left wrestling, Cody carried that revolution.

Cody said he started the forbidden door thing before it was a thing.

Cody pointed that Tony Khan has a contract in the mail for him, but maybe it’s not the contract he wanted. Fans chanted “Royal Rumble” at him as he’s a Free Agent right now, but Cody didn’t react to those chants.

Cody challenged Interim TNT Champion Sammy Guevara to a Ladder Match to crown the undisputed TNT Champion.

During this segment, Cody took a shot at WWE changing WALTER’s name to Gunther. Below is what he said:

“I know we’re not in the business of renaming people Gunther McGillicutty, but showing up in AEW and calling yourself Brody takes balls.”
