On this day in 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Sunday Night HEAT’.

It was broadcasted from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California and featured pre-taped matches, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 2001’ PPV.

Below are the results from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT:

– The Young Bucks def. Evil Uno & Stu Grayson (Dark Order attacked Young Bucks before the match)

– MJF recreated the Samoa Joe hallway spot. MJF said Jonathan Moxley isn’t a true leader and wants him to do the right thing and surrender the AEW World Title to him before All Out. Jon Moxley came out and took out MJF

– Matt Hardy said he will be cleared to compete in 10 days and wants a match against Sammy Guevara. Matt then attacked someone he thought was Sammy, but it was just Ref Mike

– Legendary WWF/E Referee Mike Chioda (who worked for WWE for 31 years and got released in April) made his AEW debut to officiate the TNT Championship match

– Cody Rhodes (c) def. Scorpio Sky to retain the TNT Championship (After the match, Brodie Lee said he will be the one to dethrone Cody for the TNT Title next Saturday)

– Kenny Omega & Hangman Page (c) def. Jurassic Express to retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship

– FTR & Young Bucks thanked WWE Hall of Famers The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard) & Rock ‘N’ Roll Express for inspiring them, and other Tag Teams over the decades. FTR then turned heel and beat down the Rock ‘N’ Roll Express

– AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida def. Heather Monroe

– Lance Archer took out wrestlers in the locker room, and writes “Everybody Dies” on Jake “The Snake” Roberts’ back

– Orange Cassidy def. Chris Jericho
