• OLD SCHOOL VIDEO HISTORY (August 27, 1994) – Shane Douglas’ Legendary Promo
On this day in 1994 in Eastern Championship Wrestling, Shane Douglas cut a promo after he had just won the tournament to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.
In this legendary, historical promo, Shane Douglas threw down the NWA title and said he wouldn’t accept the belt, as he considered the NWA brand to be dead ever since Jim Crockett Promotions was sold to Ted Turner in 1988 and Turner withdrew completely from the NWA organisation in late 1993.
Douglas, who at this point was the Eastern Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion, instead declared himself the ECW World Heavyweight Champion!
Extreme Championship Wrestling was born! The name change that followed, helped the promotion to gain its legendary status by finding a niche with a lot of potential.

With that being said, the main event of the Hell In A Cell 2018 PPV will be “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns defending the Universal Championship against “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman in a Hell in a Cell match. This will be Strowman’s Money In The Bank cash-in match.
