• Complete Results From Tonight’s SmackDown

– SmackDown kicked off with WWE announcing that Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar (which will main event Night 2 of WrestleMania 38) will be a Title Unification Match.

So the Men’s World Titles are being unified, which means it won’t be like the Becky Lynch situation after WrestleMania 35, where the Titles remained separate and Becky lost one of them in a title defense.

Also, WWE is now promoting Reigns vs. Lesnar as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time.

– Women’s Royal Rumble 2022 winner Ronda Rousey, who will main event Night 1 of WrestleMania 38, was interviewed by Michael Cole in the ring.

Rousey said she came back just 4 months after giving birth because she wants to be a badass like her mother and be an inspiration to her child.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair came out and told Ronda that she will make her scream for mercy and make her tap out at WrestleMania, then she go home and work on her second baby.

Sonya Deville then attacked Ronda from behind. Charlotte joins in then got out of dodge as Ronda laid out Sonya.

– In a backstage segment, Adam Pearce announced Ronda Rousey vs. Sonya Deville for next week’s SmackDown.

– The New Day def. Los Lotharios

– The Viking Raiders attacked The Usos backstage and demanded their SmackDown Tag Team Championship match.

– Xia Li def. Natalya (this was Xia’s debut match as a WWE Main Roster Superstar)

– Sami Zayn came out and celebrated his Intercontinental Title win. Sami then issued an open challenge for his Title to anyone brave enough to step up to him. Johnny Knoxville then came out to a big pop and Sami told him to get the hell out because he doesn’t belong in WWE.

Knoxville asked what happened to the open challenge now and asked if Sami doesn’t have the balls. Sami then attacked Knoxville. Sami finished things with two Helluva kicks to Knoxville.

– Ricochet stepped up to Sami Zayn in a backstage segment. Adam Pearce made Zayn vs. Ricochet for the Intercontinental Championship official for next week’s SmackDown.

– Sasha Banks def. Shotzi (After the match, Naomi announced that she & Sasha Banks are a Tag Team now and they are going to become the next WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions)

– Drew McIntyre was scheduled to face Madcap Moss in an Elimination Chamber rematch tonight, but Happy Corbin (who is undefeated in his current character run) replaced him and said Drew will have to deal with him tonight.

When Corbin & McIntyre came face-to-face in the ring, Corbin said this is a WrestleMania caliber match and if Drew really wants it tonight.

Corbin said Moss is great and an inspiration because he continued wrestling after taking that nasty neck bump at Elimination Chamber. Corbin then asked Moss to face Drew again tonight instead of him, thus moving back to the originally announced match at the last minute.

Corbin & Moss then attacked McIntyre.

– Drew McIntyre def. Madcap Moss

– Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out in the main event segment and told the crowd to acknowledge him and they did. Paul Heyman then hyped the biggest WrestleMania match of all time and said that Reigns vs. Lesnar is bigger than Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant and Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock.

Heyman said Reigns will solidify his G.O.A.T. status in this Title Unification match by defeating The Beast.

WWE Champion Brock Lesnar then came out and fans began chanting “Suplex City”. Lesnar called Reigns “Mr. Acknowledgement” and Heyman “Mr. Dick”.

Lesnar said these skid mark security guards aren’t going to stop him from kicking The Bloodline’s a$$, but he’s not going to do it tonight, he’s going to do it at WrestleMania and get paid for it.

Brock signed the contract and then threw it at Roman. Heyman didn’t like it and said Brock isn’t going to make it to WrestleMania because he will lose the WWE Title next Saturday at Madison Square Garden at a Live Event.

Reigns then said Brock is confused, because that WWE Title is his. This cameraman is his, these fans are his because they acknowledge him, these commentators work for him, that sign right there is his because he is WrestleMania and the security guards work for him as well.

The security guards then surrounded Brock, but Lesnar beat everyone up to end the show.
