Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown:
– Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned in the opening segment of tonight’s SmackDown.
Fans booed Roman and he told them to keep their mouths shut. Roman then said Solo Sikoa is the next in line to become The Tribal Chief and hugged him.
Randy Orton then came out and said he’s coming for Roman. Orton then challenged him for the WWE Championship.
Roman said by the sound of the fans, you deserve it. He said he hasn’t thought of Orton even once in the last 18 months.
Reigns then told Randy that he has to earn a title match against him and that it isn’t 2007 anymore because The Head of the Table is levels above him.
Orton said Reigns is not just a historic champion anymore, he’s a legend. But Orton said he’s a Legend Killer. Randy went for the RKO, but Roman managed to push Orton away and fall back.
Randy said Roman just crapped his pants and Daddy’s Back.
– Carmelo Hayes def. Grayson Waller in the #1 contenders US Title tournament
Before the match, a pre-taped promo from United States Champion Logan Paul aired, where Logan said he doesn’t know who Carmelo is.
– LA Knight approached Randy Orton backstage and offered his help, suggesting he saved Orton last week, enabling him to sign a contract for SmackDown. Orton, however, asserted that they were cool after their win against Solo and Jimmy the previous week, but warned Knight to stay out of his way and expressed his focus on dealing with Roman Reigns and the Bloodline before anyone else. Knight then said he’s going to be the one to take everything away from Roman.
– Kevin Owens def. Austin Theory in the #1 contenders US Title tournament
– In a backstage segment, Roman Reigns expressed displeasure at Randy Orton for ruining Solo Sikoa’s moment and suggested that someone needs to silence him. Jimmy volunteered to handle Orton, but said this sounds like a job for the Tribal Heir. Roman said it’s promotion season and if Jimmy can handle Orton alone, just imagine what’s in store. Jimmy then accidentally said ‘Yeet’ in front of Roman and then followed it up with ‘No Yeet’.
– A vignette for Karrion Kross aired.
– Carmelo Hayes told Kevin Owens that he respects him, but Owens has done it all, while he needs to win this tournament.
– Michael Cole announced on commentary that Charlotte Flair will be out of action for 9 months due to the knee injury she suffered on last week’s show. This means she will miss WrestleMania 40, which is less than 4 months away.
– Damage CTRL (Asuka & Kairi Sane) def. Zelina Vega & “Michin” Mia Yim
– Randy Orton def. Jimmy Uso
Solo Sikoa came out to interfere, but LA Knight took him out. Roman Reigns then laid out Knight. Roman then started a brawl with Orton. Orton was getting the upper hand, which resulted in Jimmy and Solo joining in. LA joined in as well, but the numbers game was too strong.
This led to AJ Styles making his return and taking out Roman with the Phenomenal Forearm! The babyfaces cleared the ring.
Styles then turned heel by attacking Knight!
