After Wednesday’s Dynamite went off the air, All Elite Wrestling taped this Friday’s episode of AEW Rampage.

– Jungle Boy challenged Luchasaurus to a Steel Cage Match at the upcoming AEW Full Gear 2022 PPV. Christian Cage then insulted Jungle Boy’s late father, which led to Jungle Boy grabbing Cage by the throat. Luchasaurus then attacked Jungle Boy.
– Brian Cage def. Dante Martin to advance to the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament
– Orange Cassidy (c) def. Lee Johnson to retain the AEW All-Atlantic Championship
– Nyla Rose def. Kayla Sparks
– Bandido def. Rush to advance to the next round of the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament
– Lance Archer vs. Ricky Starks in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament was advertised for this show, but wasn’t taped.

• Old School WCW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Old School WCW Veteran Hugh Morrus (Bill DeMott) turns 56 today.
Bill made his WCW debut in 1995 as “The Laughing Man” Hugh Morrus, a member of Kevin Sullivan’s evil ‘Dungeon of Doom’ stable.
For a few months in 2000 he became General E. Rection, leader of the ‘Misfits In Action’ faction.
When WCW was sold to Vince McMahon, DeMott was signed to a WWF deal in 2001, but after 2003 they kept him on TV for a while, before turning him into a trainer for various WWE developmental projects, such as Tough Enough, Deep South Wrestling, Florida Championship Wrestling, NXT & more.
