WWE taped next week’s September 4th episode of SmackDown tonight. Below are the spoilers:

– Kevin Owens, Gunther, Sami Zayn, and Finn Balor want to know who is the rightful No.1 Contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

– CM Punk gave Johnny Gargano an Undisputed WWE Championship match to lift his spirits. Gargano got up and accepted the challenge.

– Charlotte Flair and Tatum Paxley def. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) in a non-title match

After the match, Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab attacked Charlotte, Tatum, and Alexa Bliss.

– Nikki Bella addressed Paige in a backstage interview. Paige vs. Nikki Bella was announced for the September 11th episode of SmackDown.

– Nick Aldis revealed that Chelsea Green has been medically cleared to defend her Interim WWE Women’s Championship.

– Nia Jax def. Tiffany Stratton

After the match, it was announced that Chelsea Green will defend the Interim WWE Women’s Title against Nia Jax on September 11.

– Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton sat down with Corey Graves to discuss their Sunday Night’s Main Event match.

– Bakusai (Shinsuke Nakamura and Kyoki) def. The Miz and Kit Wilson

This was Bakusai’s WWE debut match as a tag team. After the match, WWE Tag Team Champions The MFTs confronted Bakusai.

– AAA Tag Team Champions The War Raiders met Damian Priest and R-Truth again.

– AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix addressed Ricky Saints’ challenge.

– Blake Monroe vs. Giulia once again didn’t start because Giulia attacked Blake this time

– Undisputed WWE Championship Match: CM Punk (c) def. Johnny Gargano to retain the title

After the match, Punk said he wants to end his feud with Sami Zayn once and for all, and challenged Sami to a WWE Title match on the September 11th episode of SmackDown in Mexico City.
