WWE has already taped tonight’s episode of SmackDown. Below are the spoilers:
– SmackDown kicked off with a Joe Hendry concert, and he sang, “Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Miz has tiny balls.” The Miz then cut a promo boasting about having massive balls.
– Miracle On 34th Street Fight Match: Joe Hendry defeated The Miz.
Alpha Academy was at ringside for the match, with Otis dressed as Santa, Tozawa as an elf, and R-Truth as a rabbit.
– Ilja Dragunov and Carmelo Hayes had a backstage segment. Ilja said he was retiring the United States Championship Open Challenge, but agreed to give Carmelo a shot at the title.
– WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill sent a message to Michin in a backstage interview with Byron Saxton. Michin and B-Fab responded to Cargill and hyped themselves up.
– Charlotte Flair defeated Lash Legend.
– NXT star Trick Williams confronted Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in Nick Aldis’ office. This was seen as Trick’s official WWE main roster debut.
– United States Championship Match: Carmelo Hayes defeated Ilja Dragunov (c) to win the title.

– Giulia & Kiana James defeated Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green & Alba Fyre. Giulia pinned Chelsea.
– A brawl broke out during a backstage segment with Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. A Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match was announced to determine the #1 contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Championship on the first SmackDown of 2026.
– Kit Wilson had an interaction with Nick Aldis that led to Cody Rhodes asking for Drew McIntyre’s apology.
– A video package for NXT Champion Oba Femi aired.
– Jade Cargill vs. Michin for the WWE Women’s Championship and Aleister Black vs. Damian Priest were announced for the first SmackDown of 2026.
– Drew McIntyre had a segment with referee Dan Engler and Cody Rhodes. Drew ripped the referee and told Cody to say hi to his father Dusty in hell when he buries him.
A “3 Stages of Hell” match for the Undisputed WWE Championship was announced between Cody and Drew for the January 9th episode of SmackDown in Berlin, Germany.
