Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes has expressed interest in seeing former 2-division UFC World Champion Conor McGregor make a move to WWE.

Many fans think McGregor would be successful in pro-wrestling due to his charisma and strong mic skills. Last year, McGregor sparked speculation by mentioning Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman on social media, even hinting at involvement in SummerSlam in Detroit, though nothing ultimately happened.

In an interview with The Schmo, Rhodes shared his belief that McGregor would excel in WWE.

Here’s what The American Nightmare said:

“I’ll say that one person I’d love to see dip his toes into the water with WWE would be Conor. Just to dip his toes. The competition environment at WWE, the competition is different than what you might think.

It’s so much about who has the most discipline, who is the most professional, getting there to the finish line, getting there to a WrestleMania. I feel like someone who has competed at the highest level like he has and so many amazing fights, it’s time to maybe dip into the more entertainment side of sports entertainment. I think he’d be great at it, I do.”

McGregor tweeted the following about this:

“The Schmo and the undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes enjoying themselves some smooth @ProperWhiskey! CLASS PERSONIFIED! Love it Cody, see you soon (eyes emoji).”

Many saw this as McGregor teasing a move to WWE, especially after he teased retiring from MMA in a previous tweet.

A fan tweeted the following about Conor’s return to the UFC:

“No reason to come back to UFC or fighting in general, you have beautiful family, worth half a billion, businesses, as being a successful businessman.”

McGregor saw this and replied:

“Ya know what, you’re right, good bye.”

McGregor was supposed to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 a few months back, but got injured during training.
