Former WWE NXT Superstar Velveteen Dream, who was released in 2021 after allegations led to the hashtag #FireVelveteenDream trending, believes he was unfairly fired. Now, in a new video he posted, Dream is threatening to ruin professional wrestling.
Dream stated that while social media has been chaotic, he is used to it. His main desire is to return to pro wrestling. He claimed he didn’t lose his job due to poor wrestling skills but because the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community) spread false information about him. He argued that since wrestling is staged, fans naturally enjoy fabricated stories and drama.
According to Velveteen, this situation has deeply affected him, and he now wants others to experience similar pain. He feels that if he cannot be part of wrestling, then no one should.
“It’s been a whirlwind on social media lately. But honestly, I’m kind of used to that at this point in my life. I want my job back, and I have no shame in saying that. I didn’t lose my job because I sucked, unlike some people. I lost it because of this thing called the IWC, the Internet Wrestling Community, and they love to spread fake news.
Wrestling is fake, so it makes sense that people who love fake chaos would keep feeding into it. But I just want you to know: this has really, really affected me. And since I’ve been affected, I feel it’s only right that I affect you back. It’s called cause and effect, you know? Because if Patrick Clark can’t have pro wrestling, I don’t think anybody should.
They’re actually going so far as to compare me to Chris Benoit. Calling me the most hated man in wrestling and lumping me in with a m*rderer. Benoit k!lled people. I’m not a k!ller. But don’t push me, because if you push hard enough, I’ll k!ll pro wrestling for you.”
Dream also mentioned his former “third eye” character, stating it was not just a gimmick. He alleged that he possesses knowledge about popular wrestlers currently on television and might reveal their secrets. He said:
“That ‘third eye’ you saw in Velveteen Dream? It wasn’t just a gimmick. Patrick Clark has seen a lot and knows a lot about the people you love. People you still watch on TV today. So the choice is yours, and you’ve already made it. I’m going to ruin pro wrestling for you. I’m going to expose this business. And hopefully, none of us can have it anymore.”
These threats follow Velveteen Dream’s recent criticism of his detractors and his claim of being superior to current WWE stars despite a five-year absence.
