Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Cora Jade, John Cena & Cody Rhodes.
• Cora Jade recently revealed a new snake-themed tattoo on her arm, extending from her forearm to her hand, via her Instagram stories:
Jade had been sidelined with a leg injury since early 2024, sustained during a Women’s Title match against Lyra Valkyria at an NXT live event.
She made her return at NXT’s CW premiere on October 1, assisting Roxanne Perez in retaining the Women’s Title against Giulia. Later, at Halloween Havoc, Jade and Perez lost to Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer.
Cora will compete in a Fatal 4-Way match next week to determine the challenger for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

• WWE’s plans for a Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena match for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 have been in development since mid-November, according to Fightful Select.
This decision followed uncertainty about The Rock’s availability for the event, as WWE initially hoped to book Rock vs. Rhodes for WrestleMania 41.
Before Rhodes’ return from injury and 2023 Royal Rumble win, some close to him had hoped this match against Cena would occur at WrestleMania 39. However, Rhodes instead faced Roman Reigns, losing in his bid for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
The report also notes that WWE has plans for much of its roster at WrestleMania 41, along with backup options.
