• Current Plan For Cody Rhodes’ Return

Cody Rhodes, son of Old School WWF/NWA Legend ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes, is currently out of action with an injury.

He was last seen on WWE programming on RAW after the Hell In A Cell 2022 premium live event.

According to Xero News, WWE Officials are expecting Cody back for Royal Rumble 2023.

Speaking of Royal Rumble 2023, that event will take place at The Alamodone in San Antonio on January 28.

The last Royal Rumble event to take place at The Alamodome was the 2017 event, where names like The Undertaker, Goldberg & Brock Lesnar competed in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

During his appearance at the San Diego Comic Con in July, Cody teased a return for the Royal Rumble as well.

Below is what he said:

“My Royal Rumble stats are top 10, they’re phenomenal. So if I was to come back at that event, there is a chance I could actually get up in the top 5 and I’m all about that. You never know! We’ll see.”

The former Legacy member currently holds the 9th longest cumulative ring time spent in WWF/WWE Royal Rumble matches.

Cody won the ESPY Award for WWE Moment Of The Year 2022, for his WrestleMania 38 return.
