• Current Plan For Hell In A Cell Match At Royal Rumble 2023
As we reported before, a Hell in a Cell match was scheduled to take place at WWE Royal Rumble 2023.
There was speculation that it’s either going to be Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship or Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley III inside Hell in a Cell.
However, that’s not the case.
According to Wrestlingnewsco, Edge vs. Finn Balor is expected to be inside Hell in a Cell at this event, with Balor using his “Demon King” gimmick.
At Extreme Rules 2022, Edge lost to Finn Balor in an “I Quit” match, after The Judgment Day threatened to attack his wife, fellow WWE Hall Of Famer Best Phoenix.
Despite saying “I Quit” to lose the match, Rhea Ripley went on to attack Beth with a Steel Chair.
The last time Balor used his Demon King gimmick was at Extreme Rules 2021, where he was defeated by Roman Reigns in a Universal Championship Match.
