• Current Plan For Roman Reigns Losing The Undisputed WWE Universal Championship (Spoiler)
Roman Reigns has been the top champion in WWE for over 2 years now.
At WWE Payback on August 30, 2020, Reigns defeated Braun Strowman & “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt to win the Universal Championship.
At WrestleMania 38 on April 3, 2022, Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to win the WWE Championship, thus becoming the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion in the process.
Many fans thought Reigns will lose the Undisputed Title to Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle in the UK, but that didn’t happen.
According to Wrestlingnewsco, Triple H is sticking with Vince McMahon’s original plan for Roman – to head into WrestleMania 39 as the champion for his Dream Match against The Rock:
“Someone familiar with the creative process told that nothing has changed (in regards to Roman Reigns) and there are still no plans for him to lose the Title this year.
When Reigns turned heel in 2020, the plan at the time was for him to be the champion when he eventually wrestled The Rock and Vince McMahon wanted Reigns to retain the Title and the idea was, and still is, for Reigns to become a top babyface.”
Also, if the original plan for Roman is followed all the way, then he’s scheduled to lose the Undisputed Title right after his match with The Rock.
