Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.

• After losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns is currently on a hiatus from WWE programming.

As seen on the post-WrestleMania XL episode of SmackDown, Solo Sikoa added “MFT” Tama Tonga to The Bloodline and is trying to be the new Tribal Chief in the absence of Reigns. Solo and Tama attacked Jimmy Uso, and this was done to write Jimmy off WWE TV as he’s injured.

We are being told that Roman Reigns’ next match will be against Solo Sikoa and it is currently targeted for SummerSlam 2024, which will take place at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio on August 3rd.

Solo & Tama are scheduled to face Randy Orton & Kevin Owens at Backlash France.

• In the opening match of WrestleMania 40 – Night 2, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to win the World Heavyweight Championship and finally get his World Title victory moment in front of fans.

Just 5 minutes later, he lost the Title to Mr. Money In The Bank Damian Priest, who cashed-in his contract.

McIntyre suffered a badly hyperextended elbow during his match against Seth. He worked hurt on the recent UK tour.

However, he’s going to take some time off now to heal. Here’s what PWInsider reported:

“Drew McIntyre will not be back on TV immediately as he is still recovering from his badly hyperextended elbow. He received a lot of respect from WWE for working through the issue over the course of last week’s UK Tour.”

As we reported earlier, McIntyre has re-signed with WWE.
