In the main event of the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event in Saudi Arabia, LA Knight lost to Roman Reigns in a match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match.
This was LA’s first World Title match in WWE and also his first ever WWE PLE main event.
LA had Roman beat after hitting the BFT, but Jimmy Uso interfered and put Roman’s leg on the bottom rope to break the pinfall.
The numbers game distracted The Megastar, which resulted in The Tribal Chief hitting a Spear for the win.
We are being told that there are no plans for LA to go after the Undisputed Title again in a one-on-one bout, for now.
Right now, the plan that is being discussed for Knight is for him to face Logan Paul at WrestleMania 40 and become the next United States Champion.
Logan won the US Title at Crown Jewel by defeating Rey Mysterio, after he punched the WWE Hall of Famer using brass knuckles.
WWE’s Chief Content Officer Triple H thinks that is the right path for LA’s growth as a character and will also help him in becoming a bigger star, as a WrestleMania feud with Logan will get a lot of publicity.
