WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland became Edge 25 years ago today in the World Wrestling Federation.
Edge tweeted the following about this milestone:
“25 Years ago today was my first match as Edge on television. Millions of miles, millions of faces, amazing experiences, lots of injuries, accomplishments that didn’t even exist when I started, but way more laughs than anything else.
Having a second chance to do this has filled me with gratitude. I’ve had an opportunity to get in the ring with a whole new generation of amazing talent and introduce Edge to a whole new generation of fans. That alone makes it a win.
I’ve been able to make a living doing the only job I ever dreamed of. I know how rare that is. Thanks for watching Edge all these years.”
Below are Edge’s top accomplishments in pro-wrestling:
– 4x WWE Champion
– 7x World Heavyweight Champion
– 14x Tag Team Champion
– 5x Intercontinental Champion
– 1x US Champion
– 2x Royal Rumble winner (2010 & 2021)
– 2x WrestleMania Main Eventer (2008 & 2021)
– 2x Mr. Money In The Bank
– 2001 King Of The Ring winner
– 2012 WWE Hall Of Famer
Edge has noted in recent interviews that he has one more year left in him as an in-ring performer. He will turn 50 years old on October 30th.
