• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (October 7, 2001) – Old School Wrestling Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2001, we lost Old School Wrestling Legend “Gentleman” Chris Adams at the age of 46, when he was fatally shot in the chest during a drunken brawl with a friend.

Adams is best remembered for his time in Fritz Von Erich’s ‘World Class Championship’ Wrestling between 1983 and 1987.

From 1997 to 1999, he wrestled for Ted Turner’s ‘World Championship Wrestling’ promotion.

On this day in 1999, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WCW Thunder’.

This episode was pre-taped at the UTC Arena in Chattanooga, Tennessee and featured matches & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WCW Halloween Havoc 1999’ PPV.

• Currently Planned Universal Title Match For Royal Rumble 2019 Revealed

According to The Dirty Sheets, current plan for Royal Rumble 2019 is for “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns to defend the Universal Championship against current RAW Tag Team Champion Drew McIntyre.

This means that Reigns will retain the Universal Title in the Triple Threat match against Brock Lesnar & Braun Strowman at WWE Crown Jewel PPV.

Speaking of the Reigns – McIntyre match, expect Reigns to retain the Universal Title at Royal Rumble 2019 as he’s expected to walk into WrestleMania 35 as the Universal Champion.
