On Roman Reigns’ Wellness Policy Failure Possibly Hurting His WWE Career:
“No, I don’t think so. Everybody makes mistakes one time or another. We all do stupid things at one time or another. We have to be smart… when you’re young you don’t know anything. I think he’ll be alright.”
On Vince McMahon’s Retirement:
“Never. There was a convention for workaholics in Chicago once and I said to Vince that he should go. You know what happened? No-one showed up. They were all too busy working.”
5. The Shield Was Originally Supposed To Debut With Actual Shields
During a recent edition of the Stone Cold podcast on the WWE Network, WWE Champion Dean Ambrose noted that The Shield was supposed to debut with actual shields. However, the idea was nixed when Roman Reigns said it would make them look like “wussies”. Below is what Reigns said during an interview before WrestleMania 30:
“We just pictured trying to get in the ring with these things. For years now, you go into the ring a certain way, and you’re not usually carrying a huge, plastic shield.”
