Below are some top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, featuring Pat McAfee, No Mercy & Collision.

• The next NXT premium live event, No Mercy 2024, will take place on September 1st in Denver, Colorado, as reported by PWInsider. This event will follow the Great American Bash TV special on SYFY in August.

Last year’s No Mercy featured Trick Williams winning the North American Title from Dominik Mysterio, Ilja Dragunov defeating Carmelo Hayes to win the NXT Title, and an Extreme Rules match where Becky Lynch successfully defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton in the main event.

• During this week’s episode of RAW, Pat McAfee let a profanity slip, but WWE is letting it slide.

Fightful Select reported there was no backlash for McAfee’s “brick sh*thouse” comment about Bron Breakker. The remark even got some laughs and a “can’t wait for Netflix” comment in Gorilla.

Monday Night RAW is moving to Netflix in January 2025, which may lead to more relaxed language and content on the weekly show. It appears explicit language might not be off the table, but the extent of these changes remains to be seen.

• Saturday’s episode of AEW Collision drew 306,000 viewers with a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is down from previous week’s 422,000 viewers with a 0.12 rating.

Collision’s viewership suffered as it went head-to-head against WWE Money In The Bank.

This was the second lowest viewership ever for Collision. Collision’s lowest viewership is 300,000 viewers (when the show went head-to-head against WWE Royal Rumble).

Even AEW Rampage drew more viewers than Collision last week. Friday’s Rampage drew 309,000 viewers with a 0.10 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is slightly up from previous week’s 303,000 viewers with a 0.09 rating.
