• Old School Wrestling Manager Celebrates His Birthday

Old School Wrestling Manager Col. Robert Parker (Real name: Robert Welch) celebrates his 70th birthday today.

Well established in various territories as a professional wrestler under his ring name “Robert Fuller”, he joined Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1993 and became known as “Col. Robert Parker”, manager of Stunning Steve Austin, The Amazing French Canadians, Terry Funk, Sid Vicious, Bunkhouse Buck & Meng.

In 1998, Fuller went to the World Wrestling Federation, where they renamed him “Tennessee Lee” and he became the manager of Jeff Jarrett.

In 2006, he had a cameo on TNA iMPACT Wrestling TV, where he was seen talking to Bobby Roode.

• Asuka Says Becky Lynch Was Relieved After She Won The Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match

New RAW Women’s Champion Asuka was a special guest on the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump. Asuka discussed her Title win, and Becky Lynch’s connection with her.

Below is what she said:

“I had so many matches with her and I have a strong connection with her. I think we both felt the same way, I think she likes to have matches with me. I think she was relieved that I got the Money in the Bank, because she knew I could take good care of it.

I want to become the element that makes people feel the WWE women’s division is something they want to miss. I know that I’ve been that element, but as a Champion, I want to work on it even harder.”

WWE hasn’t named all the talents they released during their massive budget cuts last month, as they’ve left the duty on their former employees to confirm their releases.

The latest wrestler whose release has been confirmed is NXT wrestler Rachael Evers.

She took to her Twitter account to announce her comeback to the independent wrestling scene. The Wrestling Observer has also confirmed her release from WWE.

Evers is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering.
