Great American Bash WCW NWA PPV

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 23, 1989, WCW aired ‘NWA The Great American Bash 1989: The Glory Days’ LIVE on PPV from The Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

The highlight of the night was by far when NWA World Heavyweight Champion “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair had to defend his title against former NWA World Champion Terry Funk in the main event of the PPV.

The co-main event was a War Games match that saw the now babyface team of The Midnight Express team up with The Road Warriors & Dr. Death Steve Williams to take on the team of The Fabulous Freebirds and The Samoan Swat Team (The Headshrinkers in WCW).
